The Oil exploration company officials have given a piece of assurance to family of two abducted Indian engineers that the Indian engineers in Nigeria are safe.

The officials said that they are trying hard for safe return of both Indian engineers Debashish Kakoty, 32, from Assam and Sunil Dave of Maharashtra. Both the engineers are the employees of Indorama.

Lata Kakoty, wife of Debashish Kakoty, said from Port Harcourt in Nigeria that oil Exploration Company had contacted with the abductors for his safe release. Lata said that the company has assured her that her husband and the other engineer are safe.

Both the engineers were kidnapped on Saturday morning from their residence in Port Harcourt. They were reportedly dragged out of the bed by the kidnappers when both were at their residence.

However, Indorama’s management have not given any detail who were the kidnappers or what amount of ransom is being paid for the safe release of both employees. Lata said that company’s officials told me that they had spoken to my husband some hours ago. They assured me that both men are safe and will be released tomorrow.
