
Aneek Dhar has won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge 2007, said to be the first world war of music (Sangeet ka Pratham Vishwayudh), by defeating Raja Hasan of Rajasthan and Amanat Ali of Pakistan in the grand finale on Saturday. Some people said Anik’s victory as the defeat of music and art and some said it as the right kind of choice.
Aneek, the youngest of the final 10 contestants, received more votes than other two finalists from all around the world. Anchor of the show Adiya ‘Udit’ Narayan repeatedly said in the show that the people of 132 countries are sending votes to the participants in the Zee TV’s musical talent hunt show.
After winning the grand finale, Aneek received the Rs 50-lakh contract with Universal Music and a Chevrolet Spark car on Sunday night.
Aneek said:
I want to hone my skills so that one day I can become a playback singer in a Shahrukh Khan movie. I want to spend time with my family. Only after Durga Puja will I be free.
Aneek also recalled the time when he had made a wild card entry in the music competition as the winner of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Bangla’ (Zee Bangla) and mentors Ismail Darbar and Himesh Reshammiya had strongly opposed his wild card entry to the show. He said that he eventually won everyone’s hear at last.
Akshay Kumar announced the final results and General Motors’ Ankush Arora handed over the keys of Chevrolet Spark. Puneet Goenka of Zee TV handed over the winning trophy to Aneek, who received more than as 3.65 crore votes from all around the world.
The final show was organized at the Andheri sports complex where many celebrities from bollywood and TV shows were present along with the five judges of the show Vishal-Shekhar, Reshammiya, Ismail Darbar and Bappi Lahiri.
