We always criticize politicians and bureaucrats for doing nonsense acts sometimes. The celebrities are not far behind them. This time Big B has done it. Earlier I criticized Amitabh Bachchan here to opt a foreign university for turning in Dr. Amitabh Bachchan.

After that, he collected twenty-six pounds (Twenty lakhs forty thousand rupees) from the British parliament for the victims of Mumbai Blast. He did it at the dinner celebration of the degree awarded to him by De Monfort University in Leicester.

I have left no words to express except ‘Shame on You Dr. Bachchan’.

He described the celebration as the most memorable day of his life.

I just remembered the horrible earthquake happened in Gujarat in 2000. The country had lost hundreds of life and their homes. Many countries expressed their grief feeling and tried to give monetary help, and the government of India simply and humbly denied taking the help. India took care of its people by itself only.

The people from every corner helped with open heart. NGOs were worked day and night at the earthquake region.

Then, the Tsunami happened and People helped the victims by their own resources.

Only eleven days has gone of the terror of 7/11, despite of thinking and caring of victims and their families, the ‘Great’ Big B is busy attending degree and parties abroad.

By taking the helping aid from the UK MPs and other people, he made fun of India. He has no moral right to do it. If he cannot help the victims directly, he should not hurt the sentiments of the victims as well as the Indian citizens.

Atleast he is doing something for Mumbai. What is your contribution before going ballistic??? I dont like bacchan...i dont love any celeb. But the fact remains that something is better than nothing coz that is what our government is A BIG NOTHING!!
The Indian
I dont understand the people like the learned author of this debate. why should you critisize Mr Bachchan for taking a Doctorate from a foreign university? He didn’t go asking for it. He was awarded this. Its not his fault. yes It would be more worthy if some Indian University thought of this earlier.

In this way go an critisize Dr S. Radha Krishnan who was awarded at least 80 Doctorate from world over.

He gets some relief for india (May be by attending a party). and you do nothing and blast him for doing a sin such as helping.

grow up. world over have taken relief.

And before you critisize go and ask the effected people if they need it or want to wait for Indian Govt to help out of his own pocket

At least he is doing something for the society , what about our indian (angrej) leaders who are devastating the society by dividing first on religion and after that on caste . Amitabh has done on his own whatever he is . Bounced back so many times . The coward people of india when can’t speak against bribe and worst system they try to speak against celeberity .
If you have courage then fight against indian angrej in our society .

At first place Dr. Radha Krishnan and Dr. Amitabh Bachchan represent two opposite poles. Eighty doctorate degrees to Radhakrishnan conferred for his scholarly contribution to the world whereas Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has received it for his contribution in movie industry, from De Montfort University at Leicester. However, it seems that no other university has the ability to recognize and honor this exceptional talent of Mr. Bachchan.

Moreover, raising funds for the victim of 7/11 is nothing, but inflicted insult on the pride of India. As Mr./Ms./Mrs. Indian pointed out that Bachchan did not ask for the degree, I don’t think, anybody would have gone to Mr. Bachchan saying if you are going to London bring some pounds for poor Indians.

By raising funds, he has indeed committed an unpardonable sin by bringing disgrace to our countrymen.
