
The Bhartiya Janta Party has criticized the decision taken by the Andhra Pradesh government to bring an ordinance for providing reservation to Muslim community. The BJP has strongly condemn this decision and said that it would damage the roots of national unity.
Prakash Javdekar told media persons while addressing a press conference that Congress government in Andhra is working against the spirit and soul of the Constitution of India and the concept of secularism in the country.
Javdekar, who is also state-in-charge of AP, alleged that the YS Rajsekhar Reddy’s motive and intention behind the decision is purely political.
The decision to bring ordinance to provide reservation to Muslims is a divisive vote bank politics playing by the Congress government in the state. The government has no intention for minority’s welfare.
Javdekar further said that the BJP would support and hail if the Congress government would provide reservation to all the disadvantaged groups without concentrating castes and religions.
