Manoj Das, 14, died after taking part in a Yoga Science camp organised by Baba Ramdev in Bhubaneswar. The boy was a rheumatic heart patient.

According to the CNN IBN report, he had come to take part in Baba Ramdev’s six-day camp to be cured from the disease.
His brother Sarbeswar Das said that when Manoj took part in the inaugural session of the camp. After attending the session, he felt uneasiness and died soon after.
However, the police as well as the camp organizers both are not sure that Manoj had attended the session or not.
Superintendent of Police Amitav Thakur said that the police don’t know whether he participated in the camp or not.
On the other hand, the Chairman of OPD Purushottam Patra said that
Manoj had come to the camp and a doctor had examined him. His condition was found serious and we took personal care to shift him to Capital Hospital.
Sarbeshwar said that
they had come from their native village Gobindapur in Jagatsinghpur district. He said further that he had left Manoj at gate No. two at about 0445 hrs (IST). But when he came back to get him after two hours, he couldn’t find his brother
According to the camp rules, a person, who wants to take part in yogic exercises, goes from some certain tests to ascertain his capability to perform them. In addition, the person must undergo blood sugar, cardiological and treadmill tests before going for such exercises.
So, there is less possibilities that the boy had attended the session at the camp.
