India has warned the nations of developing world to be cautious about the social consequences of increasing trends of jobless growth. India told the developing nations to establish partnerships between government sector and private sector that would be helpful to explore better job opportunities in the country.
While addressing the United Nations General Assembly’s Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee, India’s Ambassador to UN, Nirupam Sen, said that the corporate social responsibility should work as an instrument to achieve productive employment opportunities and respected job for all.
He asked that The developing countries are registering phenomenal growth but where the job opportunities have gone?
He said that the governments should initiate the direct anti-poverty programs to extend the support in the form of social protection measure to the people. This is necessary for the governments to take such steps because inequality and high growth do not mechanically give the result in a greater equality.
Nirupam Sen further said that more inclusive globalization and active labour market policies would empower the people marginalized from labour market and would help them to fight with social exclusion.
He told the representatives of developing nations that the jobless growth is one of the major challenges for developing countries and is to counteract jobless growth. The governments will have to bring the market forces together with the objective of a decent work agenda to transform the jobless growth to a growth with job opportunities.
