Chinese media is doing it the right way this time. The official news agency Xinhua, and the two English-language newspapers, ‘China Daily’ and ‘People’s Daily’, have given much importance to the Indian defense minister Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to China. The evolving military relationship and building mutual trust were the high points of the information gathered in the different news sources.

The media, most importantly, pointed out that this building relationship is not guided by any third power. However, the economic relation did not get that kind of importance in the Chinese media. Our leaders always discuss India’s obsession with the Chinese development but the Chinese media did not say much on this matter. After all, now they did not give any sign of suspicion towards Indian mindset, as it was done earlier. It seems that George Fernandis’s statement on China is history now. It is good for both countries.
