
Only 1287 days to go and India is looking forward to host the Commonwealth Games that is scheduled to be happened in Delhi in 2010. According to the ASSOCHAM study, the tourism sector will get a boost in a big way.
The report has also indicated that almost 5 lakh jobs would be possibility created in various sector such as aviation, hotels and tour operating services.
The Study says further that during the Commonwealth Games, almost one million foreign tourists will be expected to visit India. The aviation sector is all set to create more that 2.5 lakh job opportunities and currently, modernizing Delhi and Mumbai international airports. The other 35 airports are in the process of revamping.

The civil aviation sector is likely to grow up to Rs 35,000 crore by the year 2010. The Airports across the country would possibly handle more than 114 million visitors. Almost 45 million foreign travelers would likely to take a flight from different airports in India.
In addition, the domestic passengers are currently growing at the rate of 50 per cent. Further, it is expected to grow more with the 70-75 per cent rate by 2010. During that period, 200 large commercial aircraft would be possibly inducted in the total fleet.
The same growth story would be repeated in the hotel sector as more than 70 hotel projects are presently in the development stage. According to the study, this sector is likely to create additional 0.15 million job for both, skilled and unskilled workforce in coming days.
