The Infosys Mentor NR Narayan Murthy has asked the corporate India to participate actively in India’s progress. To develop the rural India and its poor people is the need of time now.
In this process, he called to boost the mid-day meal scheme for the poor children. With this scheme’s progress, the children will go to schools and will get good foods as well. He also said that there is a need to control population in the country as well.
He urged at the valedictory function of the CII Partnership Summit 2007 to the exporters to participate in the mid-day meal schemes.
He said further to the corporate India to show the country that we have ethics and values and we are concerned with society and its development.

He said to create an India that is 10 years from now, not vastly divided, where the joy of rural parents is no less than those of urban ones.
Businesspersons should be a part of the process of building the country.
According to him, the corporate tax collected from the companies should be set aside by the government to feed mid-day meals at the schools throughout the country.
Government could collect Rs 32,000 crore from companies through corporate tax. With its own funding in it, the government can easily feed 35 million poor children in the country.

To run this program successfully, the government requires only Rs 6 for lunch for each child a day and another Rs 3 for lunch.
Narayan Murthy is an excellent visionary and he is stressing to ensure the overall development of weaker India with the other part of India.
India must be everywhere not just outside the country but also inside the country. He also has given stress on the public-private partnership to control population growth in India.
