The team of plastic surgeons in Delhi’s Gangaram Hospital has, perhaps for the first time, successfully rejoined all five fingers of 6-year-old boy’s hand.
According to the report, earlier this week, plastic surgeons Dr R K Khazanchi and Dr Aditya Agarwal have done the great job during a marathon 12-hour-surgery that gave the boy a normal life again.
The report said further that sensation has returned to all of Kunal’s fingers with the normal blood circulation in all the five fingers.
Earlier, Six-year-old Kunal from Haryana’s Bhiwani district absent-mindedly put his right hand under the fodder- cutting machine when his grand father was chopping hay. It turned in a nightmare for the family members as all the five fingers of Kunal’s one hand were laid on the ground and Kunal was screaming in severe pain.
After seeing the horrible scene, Kunal’s mother promptly picked up the severed fingers from the ground and wrapped all the five fingers in her sari’s pallu. Kunal’s grandfather took the boy to the local hospital that referred him to Gangaram Hospital in Delhi.
Here in Delhi’s Gangaram Hospital, the team of plastic surgeon did the magic, we must say, and successfully rejoined all the five fingers in Kunal’s hand. The team of doctors in the hospital later identified and repaired the tendons, nerves, blood vessels, arteries and veins of every finger under a surgical microscope before deciding to discharge the boy from hospital on Wednesday.
