Although the Delhi government has already been launched a crackdown against the wayward private bus drivers. On November 1, the Delhi High Court had issued the order to form a team of traffic wardens to restrict accidents involving rampaging blueline buses. Former CBI chief U N Mishra will head the team of traffic wardens. The HC division bench comprising Justice Mukul Mudgal and Justice Reva Khetrapal granted the power to UN Mishra to constitute his team of traffic wardens by his own choice.

Earlier on October 10, Delhi’s Lieutenant-Governor Tejinder Khanna had issued an order to rope in as many as 80 Indian Air Force officials and 20 Navy officials on Delhi roads to control the traffic control system.

According to the report, the defence personnel would supervise the traffic control in the capacity of ’special traffic wardens’. The Delhi government has decided to give them their identity cards and some booklets describing the violations details of the vehicles committing visible traffic violations on Delhi roads.
