Delhiites as well as Delhi administration does not want to see the repetition of September 20 violence Delhi Bandh against the Supreme Court decision to continue sealing drive in Delhi.

The SC has set the deadline that is going to end on October 31. The sealing is expected to start on November 1 again.

On the other hand the traders are well prepared to fight for their livelihood and all set to lodge their three-day long protest against the administration as well as the court.

Almost 40,000 traders have filed affidavits before the Supreme Court to allow for liberal mixed-land use in several residential colonies. But they are said to close their shops by October 31.

On Monday, traders are ready to protest near Delhi Assembly. From almost each part of Delhi, traders will march towards Delhi Assembly. The government schools will be remained opened; on the other hand, some public schools have decided to close the schools.

The last minute meeting between traders and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit failed and traders decided to go for 72 hours Delhi bandh from Monday.

DMRC has also taken precautionary measure to stop metro movement on the underground section on the four-km stretch from Delhi University to Kashmiri Gate. It will be closed until the further notice.

Traders also met Sonia Gandhi and demanded for a Constitutional amendment to legalize businesses started before Dec 31, 2005. They told her that more than the 60-70 lakh people would be affected by the sealing drive.
