The ongoing tussle between Sikh clergy and Dera Sacha Sauda has now reached at the point of another confusion. The perplexity has been gone widespread whether the Dera Sachha Sauda had apologised to mediator Swami Agnivesh or not.
According to the earlier report, Swami Agnivesh had received a draft letter of apology sent from the Dera Sachha Sauda on Thursday. Now, the sect has denied that it has asked for any forgiveness.
According to Swami Agnivesh, the Dera has used the word ‘kshama’ or forgiveness in the draft peace proposal that he had received from the sect. As soon as the news spread, Dera sect immediately convened a press conference and rejected the reports.

The Sikh Clergy has mounted pressure on Dera chief Baba Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh to offer an apology because he had allegedly hurt religious sentiments of Sikhs.
Akal Takht Jathedar Gyani Joginder Singh Vedanti said the announcement on closure of Dera centres in Punjab and other channels of dialogue would be opened if Dera chief will come forward and offer a public apology for what he had done.
The SGPC and other Sikh organization have asked an apology from the Dera chief for tarnishing the memory of the 10th Sikh Guru by wearing his dress.
Earlier, the Akal Takht had announced that all dera centers would be shut down in Punjab if the Dera cjief would not offer a public apology. Later, the Dera also made statement against the SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar’s announcement to to shut down all Dera centers.
