DMK jumps in debate, Says no proof for existence of Lord Ram

Indian is likely to experience another mid-term poll and the different political parties are being geared up for the next political battle. In the middle of all speculation about the mid-term poll, the Bhartiya Janta Party has been found another political weapon in their hand in the form of Ram Setu row.

The BJP was in urgent need of such point on which the party could re-unite its Hindu vote bank again.

The ASI-filed affidavit said that there was no any scientific and historical evidence to prove the existence Lord ram and the events of the Ramayan. It also said that the Ram Setu was not a man made bridge. By giving such statements in the affidavit, the ASI granted BJP a topic they needed badly for the survival as a party for Hindutva.

The debate has been started that whether Lord Ram was actually existed or not. First of all ASI declined it, and then government supported the ASI affidavits. The BJP, VHP and other saffron parties opposed the government on their stand on the existence of Lord Ram. They asked why the Picture of Lord Ram and Krishna were there in the comnstitution of India? Why Gandhi talked about the Ramrajya all the time?

Government decided to take the step back and accepted the mistake. When the government decided to withdraw the affidavits, the CPM veteran Jyoti Basu criticized the government for this decision and said that Congress did this only for vote politics. While AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa supported BJP on the matter and criticized the UPA government for the language used in those affidavits.

Now, DMK President M Karunanidhi has jumped in the debate and declared that there was no historical proof of the existence of Lord Ram or Ramsetu. He said: There is no historical proof for the existence of Lord Ram or the bridge. AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa has filed a case against the demolition of so-called Ramsetu. The government will face the case.

Karunanidhi also criticized BJP and AIADMK and said that both the parties had said in their manifestos that if they came to power, they would complete the Sethusamudram project. Now, they are opposing it.

The best part of the story is that BJP has got the better cause to fight against the UPA coalition and now it would depend on the poll managers of the party that how they would use the matter to reunite the disintegrated NDA once again.

However, the worst part of the story is that the political leaders have started putting questions on the existence of Lord Ram, the events of Ramayan and Ram Setu that would hurt the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus living across the world.

And, if they would start doing it only for playing vote bank politics, this would be nothing but a real shame...
