Towers of Delhi are becoming the terminal point of suicidal attempts. Khushbu, 20, jumped to her death from 9th floor’s toilet window of the CBSE building in east Delhi and died on the spot.
She was the resident of Mayapuri area and had to come to CBSE to fill a form for compartment in Maths paper of class X. She had been taking the Class X examination for three years and was unable to clear the exams.
She left behind a suicide note in a black bag she was carrying. She had written the note as-
I was not able to clear the exam papers in 3 hours. We should be given 3 hours 30 minutes to take the papers. I always used to appear for my papers with honesty while others used to cheat and pass. I render myself hopeless as I have been flunking since past three years and have been completely inefficient. I do not want to live anymore.
Later the Police found that she had no money with her to return home. This shows that she was very tense while left the home and was determined to take such extreme step.
According to a senior CBSE official, the board is seriously thinking to take number of steps to ease stress for students taking the board examination.
Whatever will happen would happen, but the stress of examination took life of a girl that may cause more disturbance to other students who are facing similar kind of problems. The family members of those students should take good care of them and should help them to ease the stress.
