The Truckers Corporation of India Foundation had organized ‘Seena Taan Ke’ campaign in Delhi as a part of AIDS awareness program. However, the program turned into a celebrity’s kissing drama within minutes because of the Gere-Shilpa kissing on podium. This incident had evoked strong protests in several cities and people had started burning Shilpa and Gere’s effigies.

Later, on a PIL filed by a Jaipur resident Poonam Chand Bhandari on this infamous kissing incident, the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Dinesh Gupta had issued arrest warrants against Richard Gere and Shilpa Shetty. Now, the judge Dinesh Gupta has been reportedly transferred to another place with immediate effect.

According to the report, he has been transferred from the northwestern city of Jaipur to the small town of Kishangarh. It is being said that the transfer was a routine process. However, some unconfirmed sources have said that the order for Dinesh Gupta’s transfer have come from Rajasthan Chief Justice Sachidanand Jha.

Earlier, the judge had termed the Gere-Shilpa embrace and kiss as highly sexually erotic behavior. After issuing the arrest warrant on this case, the judge attracted harsh criticism from legal experts. Some of them had said that the court ruling had no legal merit and the decision made the country looking absurd.
