Glasgow suspected bomber is unlikely to survive: Report

The UK investigation team is actively examining the role of Kafeel Ahmed, the Indian engineer, in the failed terror plot in UK. He was the suspected bomber who reportedly had rammed the jeep into Glasgow Airport on June 30.

On the other hand, Kafeel Ahmed, who suffered 90 per cent burn injuries, is fighting his own battle with death. According to the doctors treating him in the UK hospital, he is unlikely to survive as he had severe burn injuries all over the body.

A leading daily in Scotland has quoted the unnamed doctor, who is treating Kafeel Ahmed, as;

...he is not likely to survive. He has third-degree burns over most of his torso and limbs. Because he has lost so much skin he is now vulnerable to infection and won’t be able to fight it.

Kafeel Ahmed, a resident of Bangalore is an aeronautical engineer by profession. The UK police have reportedly alleged him as the suspected suicide bomber in the June 30 terror attack in Glasgow. On Monday, he was transferred to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with 90 per cent burns to his body.

Another spokeswoman for the Greater Glasgow Health Board has also confirmed the report that he may not survive his battle for life. She said that he is in police custody and his condition is still critical.
