During the BJP’s 3-day national executive meeting at Bhopal, party president Rajnath Singh thundered against the UPA government and asked the ruling UPA alliance to seek confidence vote by calling a special session of Parliament immediately.
He said that the either the UPA government should go for confidence vote or to quit if they found it unable to face the House. By referring the UPA-left clash over the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal, Rajnath Singh said that the UPA government has no majority to be in the office now.
He said that India is heading towards the mid-term elections now. The UPA has no stability now. The BJP-led NDA is the sole option to give good governance to the people in the era of coalition politics.
Rajnath also termed the cultural nationalism as BJP’s ideological core. He talked about the Hindutva and criticized the UPA government for applying appeasement policy towards minorities for vote bank politics. He also criticized the central government for the efforts for the implementation of the Sachar committee recommendations in a hurry.
He attacked UPA government for the failure of intelligence agencies and the government to restrict the terror activities in the country. For him, the UPA lacked the political will to fight terrorism. Rajnath promised the nation that if the NDA would return in power it would bring back the Prevention of Terrorism Act again.
He criticized PM Manmohan Singh for offering zero tolerance of human rights violations by the armed forces but opted to remain silent about continuing terrorist activities across the nation. He talked about Ram Setu, continuing farmer suicides, nuclear deal and many more points of national interest.
