The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh is planning to organize Surya Namaskar in schools across the state. On government’s this decision, a Muslim organization has announced that it had filed a plea in the Jabalpur High Court against the government’s decision.

Haji Mohd Haron, executive committee member of the organization said that the plea would be held on Tuesday.
According to the report, the BJP government is planning to organize the event on January 25. Further, the Jamiat Ulma Hind has also approached to the Governor Balram Jakhar and appealed to prevent the practice.
Haron said that the organization decided to move court only when the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan didn’t pay any attention to the appeal made by it.
He said further that the government’s plan to force students of all religions to perform Surya Namaskar is unconstitutional and against Islam.
Meanwhile, another group of Muslim leaders, led by All India Muslim Personal Law Board member Shamsuddin Afridi, also met with the Governor on this matter and gave a memorandum seeking his intervention in the matter.
Earlier, the state Government had planned to organize the program in the various schools in the state. During this program children will practice Surya Namaskar and five other ‘pranayam’ exercises in schools.
