India plans for its own 'Google Earth' to trace crime activities

India is planning to put a bird’s eye on every part of India to restrict criminal activities. The government hopes that it will take one-year time to launch India’s own mapping engine. It will be based on the working of Google Earth.

The project will be tabled in the meeting of the Union cabinet soon. The project will work on Geographical Information System (GIS).

However, the Science and Technology Ministry have launched the similar kind of pilot project in the Chandini Chowk in Delhi.
