India rejects joint investigation proposal by Pak in Samjhauta Express Blasts

India has rejected the joint investigation proposal came from Pakistani side into the blasts on the Samjhauta Express.

At the same time, it has been cleared that India is ready to share the necessary information with Pakistan with the India-Pakistan joint anti-terrorism mechanism on March 6. The meet would be organized in Islamabad.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri had asked Pranab Mukherjee to have a joint probe to nail the culprits of this terror act. Later, the issue did not find any place in the delegation-level talks.

Tasneem Aslam, the Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson said;

It was a unique terrorist attack, in which Pakistanis were also victims. So the issue of a joint investigation could have been raised in the delegation level talks.

Later, Pranab Mukherjee said on this matter;

As per the law of the land, investigation is being carried out by India. Whoever found guilty behind the blasts would be brought behind bars.
