India parliament has taken decision with a majority on Wednesday to ban Coca-Cola and PepsiCo products.
Kerala imposed a complete ban on production and sale of soft drinks, including Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Karnataka announced a ban on sale of colas in schools and state-run hospitals from August 14.

The governments of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh had already imposed a ban on cola sales.
The moves likely will hurt sales of Coca-Cola and PepsiCo beverages in India. The two companies account for nearly 80 per cent of India’s more than $2-billion (U.S.) soft drinks market.
