Almost 50 Indian workers are struggling hard to get their salaries. They, along with more than 150 other workers, have gone on strike for the last one month.
They all are the workers of a Qatar-based construction company.
They have complained that the company has denied paying their salaries. The 50 Indian workers have approached the Indian embassy in Qatar. They demanded to intervene into the matter and asked for helping to get their long pending salary.
The Indian Ambassador George Joseph and other senior embassy officials have sought the details and held conversation with the striking Indian workers.
The striking workers, mostly foreigners, have been depending on their respective country members for their daily bread.
The Indian Community Benevolent Fund (ICBF) is also helping the Indian workers and supplying them food for the last one month.
