
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the honourable President of India, has not seen a single movie in last fifty years. This is the story of the President of India... India, which produces around 900 feature films and 1100 short films each year and the Indian entertainment industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of the Indian economy.

It stands at more than Rs. 20,000 crores today and is expected to grow at an 18% compound annual growth rate to reach more than Rs. 45,000 crores in 2009. The nation’s entertainment industry is expected to outperform GDP growth by a significant margin in the coming years.

But our dear president had no time left in his life to spend on watching cinemas. He said on Radio Kashmir, as reported in The Hindu,
I have not seen even single movie for 50 years because he spends so much time reading scientific literature. You would not believe but this is truth.
He said further that in the past 50 years he was literally wedded to his scientific research works.

Kalam, the missile man of India, led the missiles programs development to deliver India’s atomic warheads. A story about him is popular that when he met Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then prime Minister, he had wore shoes for the first time and when he went to receive the Padam-Bhusan award by the President of India, he wore suit for the first time.
He was so devoted to his work that he did not get time to marry and living married life.

He spent his whole life for the service of the nation and its development. He has become the great Chacha Kalam of the country’s children too.
