Interpole issues Red Corner notice against 7/11 Mumbai serial blasts accused

A Red Corner notice has been issued by the Interpol against Rizwan Mohammed Dawrey who is the suspect for July 11 serial train blasts in Mumbai. According to the report, he is accused for sending funds from Saudi Arabia to India through the Hawala channels. The funds were used in the serial blasts in Mumbai local trains.

Anti-Terrorism Squad chief K P Raghuvanshi said that ATS had requested the Interpol to issue the Red Corner notice against Dawrey. He said further there is enough evidences against him that ascertains his role in July 11 Mumbai serial blasts.

Now, the Interpol has put a picture of Dawrey in its website with list of offences such as counterfeiting, forgery and terrorism against him.

Raghuvanshi said further that the ATS had recovered foreign currency sum of Rs 3.5 lakh from the residence Faisal Shaikh, the mastermind behind the July 11 blasts.

Dawrey is suspected to reside in Saudi Arabia and he had sent funds to local SIMI cadre which executed the blasts.

On July 11, Mumbai was rocked with seven serial explosions in different suburban local trains last year.

More than 187 people were killed and hundreds injured in the deadliest-ever terrorist attack in India.

Later, the Police had arrested 13 persons and confirmed that LeT was behind the blasts and SIMI members had helped in the execution of the serial blasts.
