BJP is going through a serious ideological transition phase. The old generation leaders are taking corner seats in the Party and the leaders of the new generation are fighting with each other to get importance within the party.

Now, UPA government has completed first half in office on Wednesday. BJP leaders are looking for solid ground to score over the opposition.

During the NDA rule, BJP had diluted its basic ideology and focus. Now, BJP think tank is seriously working for regaining the ideological frame, which has been lost in last few years.

This time the party is raising two issues. First, opposing clemency for Mohammed Afzal Guru and second, to oppose any reservation criteria on the basis of religion.

During the Winter Session of Parliament, BJP is all set to raise both these issues and definitely will try to play its old Hindutva card.

At a demonstration in Delhi’s Raj Ghat against the clemency to Afzal, BJP criticized the UPA government on these two issues, clemency to Afzal and reservation to minorities.

BJP is all set to raise the Justice Rajinder Sachar committee’s report on the state of Muslims in the country in Parliament.

BJP’s Hindutva mascot, Narendra Modi, is busy delivering his style of speeches and has been started attacking Congress’s policies. He criticized the UPA Government to sit on the mercy petition of Afzal.

Modi accused the government for appeasing Muslims for vote bank politics. He said that the decision of Muslim headcount in the Army, changing the structure of Aligarh Muslim University and scrapping POTA have been taken to appease Muslims only.

Modi has named Congress as B-team of Muslim League. He said to look at the demands of Muslim League given before independence; Congress is working on the same lines. Congress is on the way to divide the country again on the lines of religion.
