The Health Minister A Ramadoss had constituted Dr D Kannungo committee on August 4 after coming out the CSE report that claimed about presence of very high level of pesticides in various brands of Pepsico and Coca-Cola.



According to the committee’s report, CSE did not follow the balanced approach during scientific test of the colas. The CSE report did not explained the details of the number of pertinent points needed for the assenting explanation of quantum results.



The report has put questions against the competency of the CSE lab and the process of testing.



However, According to CNN IBN reports, Director of CSE, Sunita Narayan replied on the report of the committee by saying,

I am not at all surprised. It is a clumsy attempt of the Government to give a clean chit to the cola companies. Let us be very curt, it is not the Government speaking, it was Coca-Cola speaking.
