
The new positive trends in the real estate business in stock markets have reshuffled the list of 5 richest Indians. Now, the real estate magnate K P Singh of DLF has overtaken Anil Ambani and reached at the second place in the list of richest Indians.
Mukesh Ambani is still the richest Indian in India and KP Singh has become the second richest Indian in the country by pushing Anil Ambani at third place.
The stock market was jubilant when the Sensex rallied over 16,000 mark. The real estate was the best performer in the day business and showed a relatively stronger rally in Sensex. It helped KP Singh to become India’s second richest person in terms of the value of promoter group shares.
However, Bharti group’s mentor Sunil Mittal was remained at 4rth place and Wipro’s Azim Premji at the 5th place. According to the data, the value of collective wealth of the top five richest Indians touches Rs 5,43,500 crore ($136 billion) mark. $136 bn accounts for at least 11 per cent of the total investor wealth in India.
In the month of March this year, US-based business magazine Forbes had released a list of richest person in the world. According to that list, Mukesh Ambani was the richest in India with a net worth of $20.1 billion.
Anil Ambani was placed at the second place with the wealth of $18.2 billion. Wipro’s Premji was ranked at third place with $17.1 billion while DLF’s KP Singh was at fourth rank with $10 billion. Bharti’s mentor Sunil Mittal, with $9.5 billion of wealth, was ranked at 5th place.
