The turnaround story of Indian Railway is a big hit in the business institutions across the world. With this success story, the Railway minister Lalu Prased has become International management guru.
Earlier, IIM Ahmedabad had invited Lalu to reveal the secret of the success of Indian railway that became profit-making organization from debt-ridden Public Sector Unit.
This year, Indian Railways is likely to earn Rs 2,000 crore profit. On this, Lalu will reveal his secret steps with a group of 137 students.
Among those students, 100 will come from Harvard and the rest from Wharton Business School.
They will come to India on December 27 to hear a lecture by lalu Yadav. The minister will spell out the sucess tips of the turnaround story in a daylong interaction at Rail Bhawan.
Lalu is all set to cash the success story internationally and ready to counter the doubt about his achievements in India. He has been blamed to make Bihar the undeveloped state where his party had ruled for more than 15 years.
Earlier, he has given lectures to professors from Harvard, Wharton, Boston University and American Defence Institute in the past couple of months. He took them to many parts of the country to show the Indian rail network.
Indian express has reported that the visiting professors were also keen to know the authenticity of the claims made by the Indian Railways and its high-profile minister.
They wanted to know that whether the turnaround story is residing in office files or looking on ground in reality.
Once the professors became satisfied then they found the Indian Railways a fit case to be studied by their students.
Now, Railway officials are busy in preparing all the statistical support. The major problem is that in which language Lalu will deliver his speech as he does not speak English fluently.
