Some people just cannot change their habits. Lalu Prasad is among those kinds of people. He can do anything to get media attention. The seriousness of the matter does not matter for him at all. Does anyone remember some incidents when he was serious in real sense? I do have doubts...



Machiavelli was one of the greatest western political thinkers of all time. He wrote a book named ‘Prince’. He stated about the qualities of a king in one of the chapters in the book. According to him, ‘The King Should Be Clown and humorous‘. This is the way, he gets popularity among people and people remember the king.



Democratic process that exists in India, I think, has the same kind of people having qualities to like the humorous people. People do praise and follow the leaders who make them laugh. In addition, Lalu Prasad is having the quality of the Machiavelli’s Prince and people praise him.



Let me tell you, why I am firing all my guns to lalu.



Jaswant Singh wrote in his book ‘A Call To Honour‘ that after the horribly tiring mission of releasing the India Airlines plane from Kandhar the plane was brought to India. During the journey, he served champagne to officials.



Lalu, who happens to be railway minister, found this line, which was the most important for him to make people laugh. He did it in the Lok Sabha.



He read out the lines with his own kind of pronunciation and said that the former external affairs minister drank champagne to celebrate the release of passengers.



The amazing thing that he choose the time to say this when the house was discussing on Mumbai blasts. He simply intervened, raised the book, and said, ‘The minister went and handed over the terrorists. What is worse, they gave dakshina...



After a pause, he read out the lines mentioning ‘champagne’. He mispronounced deliberately ‘champagne’ as ‘champain.’



Any one may get irritation when he choose the time when house was discussing about Mumbai Blasts and talking about the incident about airline hijacking. He just found the time to make humor during the talk about these two incidents. Only Great Lalu can do it.
