It is said that Platonic love is something that deals with sharing every emotional bonding between two except physical relationship. You may find countless number of examples of Platonic relationship.

However, the Times of India has reported something different kind of stories. A very alarming trend is emerging among the people of young generation in India.

The couples in either gay or heterosexual relationships are calculatingly being AIDS patients just to show his affection with their HIV-positive partners.

According to the TOI, three cases of this nature have come into the light. One case is from a gay relationship where one partner decided to contract AIDS only to show his love to his partner. He thought that this would be the quintessence of a selfless act of love for his partner.

In another case, a wife came to know that her husband is HIV positive; she decided to be infected with the HIV disease to show her love to her husband.

In third case, infidelity was the source of HIV for another man. It happened in gay relationship and the other partner was infected intentionally with AIDS.

This is extremely disturbing trend and height of sensitiveness in couples for each other that is rising in urban India, mostly in gay relationships.
