The people of Jharkhand have seen five Chief Minister in less than six years since the creation of the state. The independent MLA Madhu Koda, once denied to get the ticket from BJP in 2005 Assembly election, is the new CM of Jharkhand.
Madhu Koda, 35, was earlier a social worker and perhaps he is the second youngest person to be the CM in India Prafulla Kumar Mahanta of Assam.
As he took the charge in the office, he announced to bring the all 43 MoU signed between the previous NDA regime and industrial houses such as Mittal Steel, Tata Steel and the Aditya Birla Group will go under review.
Because of this decision taken by the new government, the investment proposals worth of more than 2,00,000 crore will get a jolt.
The NDA government had signed 43 MoUs with proposed investments of more than Rs 1,75,000 crore. Mittal Steel had signed MoU to set up a Rs 40,000-crore steel plant and Aditya Birla Group had signed an MoU for a Rs 7,800 crore aluminium smelter plant in the state.
Koda said,
Every decision taken by Arjun Munda government will go under review process and we promise to provide a friendly environment for serious investors.
