On Saturday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for the surgery of prostatic hypertrophy of the prostate. He underwent a surgery for benign enlargement of the prostate gland on Saturday morning.

Prime Minister’s media adviser Sanjaya Baru told media that on Saturday, the team of doctors performed the procedure to treat benign prostatic hypertrophy of the prostate at AIIMS on Saturday.

Sanjay Baru said further that PM Manmohan Singh had had a stable post operative course. He was admitted to the AIIMS at 6 AM on Saturday and the team of doctors performed the surgery till 9 AM. A team of doctors led by, Professor N P Gupta, head of the Department of Urology, performed the surgery

Manmohan Singh will be remained under the observation of the doctors’ team for next two days at AIIMS. He would be discharged from the hospital on Monday morning.
