Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has decreased the tariff for its One-India Plan from Rs 299 to Rs 180 as rental per month.
According to MTNL Chairman, RSP Sinha, The fixed wireline charges have been gone down to Rs 1 per 180 seconds pulse. For other networks Rs 1 per minute has been fixed for intra-circle (up to 50 km) STD charges as well as inter-circle STD charges.
There are 100,000 MTNL customers connected for the One-India Plan.
MTNL has registered a income growth of 42.02 from its mobile services that touched Rs.1,285.89 million in 2006.
From November 1, MTNL is also going to launch IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) for its subscribers in Delhi and Mumbai.
