The World BPO forum is scheduled in September 23-26. The forum will discuss how to move up the rural wireless initiatives in India. About two hundred US companies and thousands of Indian companies will participate to target the 600,000 villages to fix with internet connectivity.
Attendees will discuss about the technological development of exploiting India’s wealth of sunlight. They will also plan to use it for solar powering computer and Internet systems in villages.
Who cares? Even after Fifty-nine years of independence, there are so many villages that are still not getting electricity for even two hours? For the multi-national companies, India is no more a country with big fundamental problems; it is a big market. There are consumers living here, not mere hapless citizens. They are eying just to exploit the opportunities what they are looking for. They are not bothered about basic problems facing by rural India.
