On the other hand, the police officials and party workers denied giving permission to more than twenty women to go to Janta Darbar because and the reason was that all the women were HIV positive.
The HIV positive women had come to CM’s Janta Darbar to meet the CM for seeking for proper treatment from government. They later complained that police and officials pulled them away from the queue when they came to know that those women were HIV positive.
One of the HIV positive women said:
We have been coming here for three Mondays just to convey to the Nitish Kumar our problems relating to social banishment and government lethargy. The government officials are not providing us even the necessary medical support.
They claimed that the incident happened on this Monday again when the police and officials pulled then out from the queue. A woman said:
We don’t know if the police are behaving thus on orders from the government to keep us at bay. If the government thinks we are untouchables how can we blame the ignorant masses for not mingling with us and shunning us?
According to another report, the Health Minister was aware of the presence of HIV positive women outside CM residence to meet Nitish Kumar. The officials received order to admit them in Patna medical College Hospital without allowing them to meet the Chief Minister.
