The national Police University is expected soon in India to teach police officers to maintain some important matters while on duties such as internal security matters, Lack of research and development work, human rights violations and keep good public relations.

In this University, the police officers will go through subjects and other applicable issues such as the knowledge of forensic science, threat of biological war, criminal psychology, public relations, human rights, insurgency, communal tension and most importantly human resource management skill.

The University is expected to cost around Rs 1000 crore. The Union Home Ministry has formed a 5-member committee under the chair of M L Kumawat, Additional Director General, BSF to work for action plan.
Kumawat said on the proposal,

a doctor, lawyer or an engineer has the knowledge about his respective field for at least three years before starting career. However, Policing is a non-professional phenomenon in India.

A police officer gets training for sis months. This process should be reformed. Physical training is not everything for policing. There is a need to enhance them with intellectual brilliance. It will make them true professionals.

The morale and disaster management skill of the police officers should be more strengthening. The government Of India is hoping that it will help the officers to resolve the internal disturbance and security matters easily and comfortably.
