Kanimozhi is the daughter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. She is ready to be nominated as candidate for Rajya Sabha from DMK.

According to the report, Karunanidhi has taken the decision in a high-level party working committee meeting to field Ms Kanimozhi for Rajya Sabha. There was nothing like surprise in the decision that was taken by Karunanidhi after Dayanidhi Maran’s departure from Union cabinet.

There was a speculation for his nomination for Rajya Sabha after Dayanidhi Maran’s stepping down on May 13. The election for Rajya Sabha will be held on June 19 and Ms Kanimozhi is now ready to join active politics with full confidence.
