On one hand, the Indians have become aware of $1 billion dream home of Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai.
On the other hand, a common Indian has no single penny in his pocket to meet the funeral expenses of his dead wife.
The man later sold his 2-day old baby child to do the funeral process of his wife.
This is a great example of the widening gap between the haves and havesn’t in the Indian society.
One rich person has $1 billion to make a home for him and the other poor man has no money to perform necessary process for his dead wife and he opted to sell his 2-day-old child.
This is the incident of Jaipur, where a poverty-stricken tribal youth, Bipin Gagarai, has found it tough to get some money to meet the funeral expenses of his wife. Later, he decided to sell the baby who was mere 2-day old.
Bipin Gagarai is a daily wage laborer who lives in Sahupur village that comes under Salijanga gram panchayat in Jaipur district. He reportedly sold his child to a laborer from Berhampur only for Rs 1,200.
When his wife was bleeding profusely after the delivery of the baby, Bipin had no money to admit his wife in any hospital. Because of no treatment, His wife died leaving him and the child behind.
Bipin said that he was feeling helpless and was in need of the money. He sold the child to another daily wage earner of Berhampur for Rs 1,200. He has another reason to sell the baby as he felt it difficult to manage the family of two children, as he has no job at present in his hand.
As the news came in media, the district administration swung into action and Jajpur Collector S K Singh asked the District Welfare Officer (DWO) to personally look into the matter.
