
The Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh is a humble man even after becoming a politician.
He had gone to Assam this month for seeking re-election to the Rajya Sabha for the fourth consecutive term.
According to the declaration of movable and immovable assets, Manmohan Singh has a meager sum of Rs 3.96 crore in his name.
He has two houses and the cash available in bank accounts that reveals that he has earned Rs 3.96 crore till date in his name.
According to the declaration submitted to the Assam legislative Assembly secretary, G P Das, the Prime Minister has Rs 1,88,82,862 in bank deposits in State Bank of India branches at Central Secretariat, New Delhi, and Dispur, Guwahati.
Further, he has some bonds worth Rs 23,20,000 and Rs 5,35,814 as postal savings.
The most interesting part of the declaration is that the Prime Minister of India owns a Maruti 800 that is of 1996 model. He has a home in Chandigarh cost at Rs 90 lakh and another home at Vasant Kunj, Delhi of Rs 88 lakh.
