On Tuesday, the Rashtrapati Bhavan media spokesperson rejected the claim made by two people that they can arrange a meeting with President Pratibha Patil for a sum.
Earlier, two people from Mumbai, Sanjay Bhide and Niranjan Ganjawala, reportedly had claimed that they can make possible a meeting with madam President for Rs 22,000.
The Rashtrapati Bhawan described the claim as completely mischievous, unauthorized and illegal.
A TV news channel had reported that Bhide and Ganjawala claimed they could arrange a meeting with the President for Rs. 22,000. Mumbai’s Trans-Asia Chamber of Commerce had even sent out a message to the people if they wanted to meet madam President, they should join the firm with their photographs and money.
SM Khan, Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman rejected the reports coming in media and said:
This is to clarify that no such person by the name of Sanjay Bhide or Niranjan Ganjawala as reportedly mentioned in the message or any other person has been authorised to bring people to meet the President.
Any such communication by any person is totally mischievous, unauthorised and illegal. Necessary legal steps are also being taken in this regard.
He further said that anyone could meet the President after taking an appointment; there is no need to take any support from any person outside the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
