BJP leader L K Advani has praised the Indian growth saga and said that this is the matter of pride for everyone. At the same time, he expressed his concern over the regional imbalances within the country that is being happened despite of high economic growth. Advani was on visit to Singapore and he was addressing people at the India Club here on Monday.

Advani said at the same time that Singapore has seen the phenomenal growth because of the national resolve that was the result of the collective will of the people to progress and prosper. He said that India also has entered the era of prosperity. The resurgence in the country has started and the BJP-ruled states have showed better and significant progress.

He said by giving the example of Gujarat and said:

Gujarat is a prime example of this. It is not only the fastest growing state in India economically, but it has also achieved remarkable progress in improving the human development index of its population.

According to him, the global economic scenario is being changed and a new geopolitical shift is taking place in the world with countries such as India and China at the center of this shift. No one can even think the future architecture of the global economy or global security system without India’s place in it.

He also referred Indian films and film music as the new age gurus of the world of culture and philosophy. He said Rajnikanth-starred Sivaji has been a big hit in Singapore and Japan too. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Mata Amritanandamayi and others are India’s ‘new age’ gurus who are re-projecting the universal relevance of Indian cultural and spiritual values all across the globe.
