Till the last day last moment (by 4:30 pm) Sameer Mohammed was leading and was First in the list,,

I think after reaching the finals...out of the 3 Sanchita was the best...she got what she deserved. Ofcourse Samir was also gud...he cud have been the 1st runner-up

Sanchita was the best and was far above Divakar and Sameer in singing skills. I am glad that justice prevailed. We should listen to people who understand music and not who are emotional due to one reason or another.

Even from Judges comments it was crystal clear who is the best.

5th September 2006. At the invitation of the Dramatics Guild, International College for Girls, Jaipur, T.V.S.SAREGAMA Little Champs’ final round participant, Pavni Pandey paid a melodious visit to the college on the occasion of Teacher’s Day

Little Pavni, student of the seventh standard and blessed with a golden voice originally hails from the Pink City but is presently residing in Mumbai. At the final stage of the famous SAREGAMA competition now, her journey through the entire contest has been one marked with successes and popularity. With a host of “double promotions” and “A+”

Grades she’s fast on her way to becoming one of the strongest contenders for the final win.

Her renditions of popular Hindi film tracks like “Beedi jalai le...”, “Bachke tu rahna..” “Dekh le..” and “Aisa jaadoo dala re” made the audience roar for more and when she broke into “Aye mere pyare vatan”, the pathos of her fabulous voice wet many an eye with emotion. Endless applause punctuated song after song and the highlight of the afternoon was when on popular request her mother, Ms. Aparna Pandey enthralled the gathering with the song “Patta patta butta butta haal hamara jaane”.

Extending his appreciation and gratitude to Pavni and her family, Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director of the International College for Girls congratulated the little one and her mother on their stupendous talent and thanked Pavni for making this Teacher’s Day a memorable one. On behalf of the 5000 plus students of the IIS Institutional Network, Dr. Gupta assured Pavni of their full support in her strive for success and victory. He also took this opportunity to make the announcement that in the honour of this talented youngster, one of the four new buses to be inaugurated for the college from tomorrow would be named “PAVNI” after her.
