The top leaders from India and Pakistan have criticized the bomb blasts in Samjhauta Express that occurred on Sunday night.

At least 66 people killed and more than 50 injured in the terror act. It is being said that this act of terrorism was aimed to disrupt ongoing peace process between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf said that the blasts and killing of innocent people has made him more determined to strengthen their work to reach a sustainable peace between both countries.

He termed the blast as a heinous crime. He said;

Such wanton acts of terrorism will only serve to further strengthen our resolve to attain the mutually desire objective of sustainable peace.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said expressed distress and angst on this incident. He vowed the culprits would be caught as soon as possible.

The terrorist chosen the time of the blast a day before Pakistan’s foreign minister Kasuri was due in Delhi for bilateral talks on peace process.
