Earlier the Top Indian nuclear scientists had highlighted four important points of anxiety about the Indo-US nuclear deal. The points are a -
1) India’s nuclear weapons program should not come under any kind of international scrutiny
2) What the facilities self developed by India should not come under any safeguards
3) The atomic research and development area should be completely remained autonomous
4) Parliament should take care of the national interest in this regard.

The scientists have also made appeal to the MPs and the Parliament overall to take care of India’s interest on nuclear development.

According to the top scientist, P K Iyengar,
We all have worked in the field of atomic energy from the beginning. We have now the control of all the technologies in this area.
Now, after studying various statements being presented about this agreement in Washington, a feeling inside us has grown that India’s atomic autonomy is going under a serious threat.
