WB sets communist ideology aside, accepts US aid to combat Bird Flu

In India everyone knows about politics and everyone knows about the kind of politics Communist parties play in country. There are 59 members in 14th Lok Sabha who form the left group including Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M))-43, Communist Party of India (CPI)-10, All India Forward Bloc (AIFB)-3, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP)-3.

We all know how these left leaders blocked the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal despite the positive responses from all other political parties. Except few parties all are in favour to enact the deal as soon as possible. The left leaders blocked the deal because the United States of America was involved as other party in the deal with India and ideologically communists can’t get any support from US, a sign of Imperialism in world even in 21st century from their point of view.

Wait… Now, the CPM government in west Bengal is taking help of US by putting aside the ideological interest because of the interest of common people. People in the state are living life in fear because of the spread of deadly Bird Flu in 13 out of 19 districts now. The West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had passed the offer of help from US to central government and now the government of India has decided to accept the offer in containing the outbreak of Bird Flu in West Bengal.

According to the report, the Ministry of External Affairs has accepted the offer given by US Ambassador David Mulford’s to help in fighting H5N1 virus in the land where communist ideology rules over the governance. Now, the CPM government would allow the US expertise to restrict the spread of H5N1 virus. The ministry of Agriculture is likely to allow vaccine for birds manufactured by an American firm and to request for TamiFlu vaccines to ensure that humans are not affected.

The left-wing ruled state west Bengal is going to be the first state to get aid from the United States to combat Bird Flu danger. The US is leading the group of nations in funding efforts to combat avian influenza.

Now, the major question is that what happened to the communist government and its ideological differences with the US? When the CPM government of West Bengal can accept the US aid to shield their failure in combating H5N1 virus in the state, what is the problem in taking the US support to make the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal possible for the sake of country’s energy need?

I can just hope Prakash Karat, Brinda karat and other left leaders wouldn’t begin procession at the gate of Parliament against their own government in state for accepting US aid. I just hope so…

Always showing double standard is characteristic of Communist leaders in India. This is nothing new and Indian voters should understand it fast.

Communists have single ideology that they have no ideology. They are opportunists.
