Tripti Nigam, who’s husband, Gaurav is a Wipro employee, has alleged the Company pays him the dating allowance. She said that because of this her husband had left her. On her application, a court in Kanpur has issued a notice to Wipro Chairman Azim Premji.
Tripti Nigam, resident of Gwaltoli, has filed a case in court and the chief metropolitan magistrate has issued the notice to Azim Premji and Vice President of the company, Pratik Kumar under the new act of domestic violence against women.
The court has asked the Wipro officials to submit their replies by November 29. Tripti had filed a case of domestic violence against her in-laws too.
Tripti’s Advocate Nandlal Jaiswal, has made Premji and Pratik Kumar as parties to the matter because the situation went wrong between the husband and wife as Gaurav gets dating allowance paid by Wipro.
However, Wipro has denied it had any ‘dating allowance’ for its employees and said that it did not receive any notice from the Kanpur court so far.
The Company has issued a statement, as
We would like to categorically state we don’t have a dating allowance in any form and, hence, cannot elaborate on this alleged issue. We have no formal intimation on this.
