Earlier only Amar Sigh was licking the shoes of Bachan Family now Mulayam sigh is also following the same path. Neither Abhishak bechan is a successful actor nor he has achieved any milestone in literature and culture. The person who is lagging his carrier on his father’s solders, got a precious state award. Nothing could be more disgusting then this .

I want to ask Mr. Chief Minister that you do you have any other work besides awarding the Bachan Family. Every day your government is heading towards the grave. And forthcoming election will prove this.

I also don’t agree with Prtush , compares Abhishek with Amartaya Sen, a Nobel prize winner. We feel proud when we talk about these doyens-Amartaya Sen, Laxmi Mittal, Swaraj Paul. I don’t know what you see in Abhisek?

Dear Suman, we Indians have a generation-old problem. We often co-relate the things that should not be co-related. This is not our duty to decide who is lagging on who’s shoulders. If you will start this issue, the list will go long beyond thinking. I must say Rahul Gandhi is lagging on his mother’s Shoulders. so, just forget this matter.

Secondly, why we put politics in each and every matter. If abhishek is among the other 10 people who got the Yash Bharti Samman, there is no need to make this issue political.

Finally, dear Suman, I am not comparing Amartya Sen or any body with Junior B. Read this carefully, Those personalities are doing great in their fields of work and Junior B is doing fine in his field. After all years long criticism, finally he has showed that he has the germs of being a good actor. If UP government decided to honour him on the ground that he is from UP origanlly, what is wrong in this. Amartya Sen does not live in India but he has roots in India, so we become happy if he achieves anything great and said proudly, ”He Is An Indian”. Then what is wrong in it. Don’t be political all the time.

Well pratyush i love abhishek as an actor but definitely not as a literary personality! And i beleive that Yash Bharati Samman is a literary award. The actor was not being modest when he stated that he did not deserve the award....!

I do not understand why people consider those people great who are not the citizens of India anymore. In a specific reference of the pride of India, people of Indian origin such as Amartaya Sen, Laxmi Mittal, Swaraj Paul who now come to India as a foreign tourist. These people have already abandoned India for their personal interest.

As so far Abhishek Bachchan is concerned, he at least pays Income Tax to India and very much embedded into Indian economy.

Dear Kanchan, Yash Bharti Samman gives for notable work done in the area of literary and culture to the personalities of Uttar Pradesh. This is the CM’s discretionary power to select persons eligible for this award.

I want to tell you Kanchan, the award goes for literary works and cultural works both. And cinema is the strongest part of cultural development in India.

Moreover, I think that Abhisek showed more humbleness when he said that he does not deserve the award. He said this not because he haven’t done anything un-acknowledgeable for this award but he said it because he finds himself not suitable in the list where other big personalities are his grandfather and parents too.

Though Abhishek is quite my favourite lets be realistic to be an icon he needs more time.Lets face it most of his hits have been with his dad!I feel he did not deserve the award. you of course have your viewpoint.

Its difficult to make consensus on any award. Be it national film awards, film fare awards, cricket awards and even Noble prize (mind you, Mahatma Gandhi did not receive this award and the noble committee have regretted on this on many occasion) and many more...

As far as Yash Bharti Samman of UP is concerned, the CM Mulayam singh knows better on what ground he found Abhishek fit for the award. It is his power. Any protest and controversy will defame the importance of the award. It is not necessary that only icons get even the state level award. No body knows the names of other ten people who got this award with Junior B even in UP.

Abhishek might be doing better than the other actors if you say so Pratyush but bestowing him with the Yash Bharati Samman seems really strange if we take a look back at the earlier nominees for this prestigious award.

And the issue is not about the NRIs or an Indian citizen who is paying taxes, the question is about the “WORTH of the Yash Bharati Samman”. Was Abhishek really fit for the award???

I think he should better return the award and think of getting nominated for the Yash Bharati Samman after somewhat around 5 years when we can really say that HE DESERVED THAT but at the moment it’s nothing but just politics.

I think the truth naked by Mr. Suman is quite right and first of all I would like to felicitate him for his profound thinking. And as Mr. Pratyush has said that we Indians try to see every thing through political glasses is right to some extent but Mr. Pratyush don’t you think that by giving this prize to Abhishek Bachchan an attempt has been made by Mulayam government to key up political wave in its favor.

The second issue bubbled out in one of these comments that states, we Indians do have a problem that we praise those people who are not Indian but recoils when it comes to venerate Indian citizens. So here, I would like to say that to give prize by getting motivated by such things would not be a commonsensical way. And if somebody thinks this is right then don’t you think there are many prodigious personalities that India wraps in herself, should also be given this prize. The biggest issue is that by giving this prize of Junior Bachchan Mulayam government has not only spurned at the dignity of this prize but has also tried to obnubilate sacrifices of those people who really deserve this prize.

i hate to tell you but the awards are given for some note able contribution by some individuals in their field of work but i do not remember abhishek bachan doing anything noteable. ya he takes crores of RS for teh movies he sign and he is the sun of a superstar but then do these qualifications make him worthy of that award. NO!!
he donated the amount because it was just too less for him and will help him in Income tax rebate at the end of the year. the award was given because Mulayam is in tight spot in UP and wants bachans to help so that he can scramble home for another term in UP. since all the bachans had been awarded only Abhishek was left.
next year if he remains a CM(mulayam) he will give this award to Shweta (Daughter) for her outstanding contributions to her Domestic life
these awards were politically motivated at the best and the present government had much to gain from bachan\’s so they are keeping them in good humor

It is quite ridiculous to blame Mulayam Singh government for awarding Abhisekh Bachhan. After all, he has brought glory to his state. The media should not read too much of it.

Pratyush is right on his part because Abhishek Bachchan brings glory for his state by getting the prestigious and literary award.

It would not be entirely correct if I said that awarding Abhishek Bachchan did not have any political undertone. We all know the involvement of the Bachchan family with SP, the ruling party of UP.

However, as Pratyush has pointed out, he in fact deserves it much more than previous recipients of the Yash Bharati award.

So, now it must be cleard that he surely brought glory and pride for his state by getting the prestigious literary and cultural award.
